CPCAB Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling
WHAT IS IT?
This is a Level 5 Diploma course leading to a nationally recognised counselling qualification. The approach is Integrative Humanistic.
The course will cover:
Developing as an ethical and independent practitioner
The psychotherapeutic relationship
Difference & Diversity issues
Developing integration of humanistic theory into counselling practice
Personal development
Developing as a skilled practitioner
Developing as a reflective practitioner
Group Training Supervision
Content will include one day workshops on the following:
-Assessing clients
-Ethics
-Working with diversity
-Integrating different theoretical perspectives
-Continuing Professional Development
-Working in Employee Assistance Programmes
WHO IS IT AIMED AT?
It is aimed at counsellors who have achieved a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling or equivalent and who have acquired experience of working as a counsellor in an agency setting and who wish to develop their practice to include working as an independent practitioner. It is also aimed at counsellors who wish to achieve an OPEN UNIVERSITY (OU) Foundation Degree in Counselling. Following a partnership agreement between the OU and CPCAB, counsellors with CPCAB Level 4 and Level 5 Diplomas can achieve a Foundation Degree by completing OU modules. WHAT IS THE FORMAT?
The course will be delivered on 16 Saturdays (9.00am-5pm)
WHAT ARE THE START AND END DATES?
The course will start on Saturday 5th March 2011 and end in July 2012
