Counselling Training

Redlands provides the complete progression route for counselling training.

As a centre recognised by the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body, CPCAB, we offer CPCAB courses from entry Level 2 through to post qualification Levels 5 and 6 and a Continuing Professional Development workshop programme.

As a result of the partnership between CPCAB and the Open University (OU) you can also progress to the OU Foundation Degree in Counselling.

The approach which underpins our courses is humanistic. The humanistic approach to counselling focuses on the quality of the relationship between counsellor and client and on the innate resources of the client to solve their problems and achieve their potential.

All our Level 4 Diploma students have the opportunity of completing a counselling placement in Redlands Counselling Service.

At Level 5 students have an opportunity to integrate skills and knowledge from the Cognitive Behavioural Therapeutic (CBT) approach into their counselling practice, or to develop their humanistic psychotherapeutic counselling.

All of our tutors are experienced and qualified counsellors and trainers.
